I actually really like watching rehab boat pages on youtube. My favorites are Sail Life, Mads the owner is a really cool guy from Denmark, and also Boatworks Today, the only two I support. They are both well done, and very informational.


Truth be told, I am really looking forward to being out on the water, and just to see people's reactions once again. She is a beautiful boat. People used to just stop by the dock to ask about her, C-50's are so rare to see that most people have no idea what it is. I am a big proponent of restoring, and hope to be a great ambassador of older boats being brought back. Too often I see older boats going unloved. I can understand the cost benefit analysis of putting too much money into something that will never recoup the investment. But after all, it's a boat, what should I or anyone expect.

Not sure where/how or what system but I got a message from you based on further comments I made to your website - appreciating your efforts to restore the Bill Tripp Jr. Columbia 50. Now I cannot seem to find that last message or figure out an easy or direct way to email.

What is your overall estimated time frame for getting Siren back in the water and sailing?

I just sent my last reply via email, I just cut and pasted it...so the format is a bit wonky...

My time frame is an optimistic two years from this coming summer...

Seems like quite a bit of interest in Sequitur lately now that price is reduced to 36.5k and I am selling directly so this is interesting. Several parties in Sag Harbor now expressing interest and a few folks from this Forum so this is good. Feels like August / September will be the time for concluding a sale and this gets me excited about moving onto the next boat.

Sequitur will be a great score for the next buyer - and she is a fine boat and a keeper and as you may know, I have had her for 21 years and enjoyed every minute but now time for me to move on to my next nautical chapter.
