If you are happy with an ex charter you might find a Lavezzi 40 at that price. A bit longer but two heads.

One thing to think about, although I know you said you were looking in Europe most if not all of the Mahe's in the U.S. just had the opportunity to get brand new engines free with install from Volvo Penta as part of a recall. So if you get a boat that was in the U.S. you may be getting brand new engines even if the boat is older. It might also explain the relatively high price of Mahe's relative to their age/original price.
