1979 Perry Polaris cutter rigged monohull. 43' long, 13' beam, 6 ' draft
Looks like a Valiant.
Cutter Rigging (new sails, used 2 times)
Separate shower attached to head
Jabsco manual head
4kw northern lights gen
43hp Kubota 100 hrs since MOH
New Axiom 10 electronics and radar
New freezer remodel w spill over to fridge
New bottom paint

This boat was being refit and has a few things to be completed:
To be finished :
5 custom made chain plates ready to install
24v bow thruster to finish, Fiberglass tunnel installed, all wiring run for installation. Have bowthruster.
Windless to be installed.
All new standing rigging has been fabricated, needs to be installed
Install new standing rigging and step mast.
Also have new Garhauer traveler designed for boat.

Asking $20,000 with all parts and rigging for the vessel.

She is at a yard in St Marys Georgia where you can live and work on the vessel. Yard rent is $400.00 per month.

She is really nicer than the pics!!!! A lot of money has been spent and she just need some projects finished up. I can’t work on her any more, and hope she goes to someone who will get her back out on the water.

This is a really nice project boat. We went onboard her this year. There are several issues. The vessel has been sitting without care for a long time. The machinery will need a lot of work. It’s a big project.
The major issue is the rigger in the yard. We would never use him. There is a big hole in the deck and holes in the woodwork where the chainplates were drilled out rather than the cabinet work removed. The interior does not look like the photos.
The mast had a radar, now missing. The yard rigger might have a lien on the vessel. Again, we would never have him touch our boat.
It’s a good design. We looked at it for a friend but it needs a huge amount of work. The yard is great and it’s a good place for DIY work.
We think only 7 of these were built but finished, it will be a beautiful boat.
You need a lot of skills, time and money. You need to make sure you are not walking into a legal battle too.

My boss had Perry change the deck and cabin, then had a yard in Taiwan build the boat. He got as far as Tahiti when his wife left the boat, then sailed it back to the West Coast. It was a nice boat, but the wife wasn't cut out for ocean cruising. The compromise was a canal boat in France.

This is a vessel with huge potential, but it is a project boat. The rigging company in the boatyard has filed for bankruptcy as a result of several lawsuits against them. There are NO LIENS against this vessel. I am holding the current title and coast guard documentation. There are no pending legal issues.
The cabinet work was removed for installation of the chain plates. There is a hole in the deck where the old windlass was removed and the new windlass would be installed.
The engine and generator were running solidly prior to haul out, with low hours since major overhaul of the main engine.
I am investigating the absence of the radar dome, it was on the mast when removed.
The yard is an excellent place to work and very suitable for completing this project.
I am currently at the other end of the country, but will try to get more pictures.
This boat is offered for sale with full disclosure of any known issues, the price reflects the current state of refit. A survey by any potential buyer is recommended.

The deck and cabin layout are a superb design. Kind of reminds me of the LAURENT Giles Dyarchy design of the late 1930’s. Open decks are idea for storing life raft raft canister and tender upside down while underway. Vast improvement in my eye to the long boxy deck cabin style so prevalent these days in production boats. Considering the price, the fixit list presented by the OP is a fairly straight forward fix. Certainly could be a lot worse.

The boat certainly seems to be a world class vessel With the refit. Helluva good deal for the right person.

I am unable to complete the refit, but she is offered at an attractive price for someone who can. Additionally, boat yards have become less amenable to DIY but this yard is perfect for this project.

I like this boat. So much so, I recommended a friend buy it. I’m happy there are no liens. The yard is an excellent place to do work yourself. Under no conditions would I have the current rigger touch our boat.
This boat has huge potential but understand it will require a lot of hard work.
If you have skills, money, and time, you could end up with a great boat.
We’ve seen a lot of project boats but this one is worth the effort to restore.
Our only reservation was the legal status which can be resolved permanently with a release letter from the yard and the rigger.
Again, we think it’s a great boat...worth the effort.
