Santana 37 - Ready to Cruise - $35000

Due to health issues we are offering for sale our Santana 37.

Our Santana 37 was designed by Gary Mull and built by Schock to beat the Cal 40s, which, with a good crew it did regularly.

It is strong and fast, and we have spent the last 5 years getting it ready to cruise and have lived aboard for this period.

It has everything needed to cruise. You could literally just top off the tanks, add food, and be off.

For long term cruising and/or on the hook, it has 2 newly installed 405 watt solar panels with an 80 amp MPPT controller feeding a 650 ah battery bank. The 12 volt system is monitored at the (full) chart table with a victron battery monitor.

It also has a professionally rebuilt Perkins 4-108 with less than 150 hours on it, along with a new aluminum fuel tank and gauge panel.

It has a strong dodger and bimini with both summer and winter side panels. The dodger and bimini were custom built as I am tall (6'3").

All systems can be powered by the battery bank, but there is also GFCI outlets, a 20 amp battery charger and a 50 foot (30 amp) power cord.

It also has a brand new (less than 3 hours) Yamaha-powered gas generator.

The boat has 70 gallons of water in two tanks.

The Santana 37 was used by Steve Dashew's daughter to cruise extensively
throughout the South Pacific." His review of the boat was included in his book, "The Offshore Encyclopedia."

Navigation includes radar-compatible GPS, coupled with AIS. A spare hand-held GPS is also included. A number of charts and guides are also included.

VHF, flares, water-proof floating strobe lights, life jackets, safety harnesses, and a man overboard pole with line and horseshoe buoy are included.

A nearly new 9 foot inflatable (always covered) with a 3.5 hp tohatsu 4 stroke outboard (less than 5 hours).

A outboard crane is used to hoist the outboard, but it is light enough to hoist by hand.

The boat has a custom sugar scoop, which increases the water line by 2 feet and is a stable platform for getting into and out of the dinghy.

A nearly new low profile Maxwell electric windlass with remote is coupled with a 55 lb Rocna and 175 feet of high test chain tied into 250 feet of anchor rode.

The stern anchor is a Fortress 15 with 50 ft of 3/4 chain and 275 feet of anchor rode.

There are three other danforth anchors of various weights with anchor rodes, along with two mushroom anchors for the dinghy.

There are two sets of five flopper stoppers and a reaching strut.

Sails include a main with double reefs, a roller furling 125 genoa, and a 3/4 ounce spinnaker with both pole and ATN Tacker (to make it assymetrical).

Mast is two spreader with an EZTrack mainsail system installed.

A brand new hookah system with two regulators, new aluminum tank and 75 feet of line is also included.

The boat also comes with an entire dock box of tools and supplies as well as 1/4 of a cargo van full of supplies and spares.

A paddleboard is also included.

The galley includes a AC/DC 110 liter Dometic refrigerator / Freezer, a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a deep sink, a large dry storage compartment, and lots of counter space.

The boat is ready for long term cruising / living aboard.

Boat is located in Southern California.

Thanks.

We hate to part with it, but because of back injuries, I physically can't handle long-term cruising under sail.

re: Santana 37 - Ready to Cruise - $35000

It's a 35 gallon tank, and I burn 0.9 - 1.0 gallons per hour at 2000 - 2200 rpm. This gives me a speed of between 6.9 and 7.5 knots.

Re: Santana 37 - Ready to Cruise - $35000

I am dropping the price to $30,000 obo.

We don't have to sell it, but I'm leaving for the summer and would like not to pay slip fees for 3 months while I'm gone.

Re: Santana 37 - Ready to Cruise - $35000

This is a great looking setup for cruising.

Could you please send me some more photos?

What condition are the sails and the standing/running rigging?
