Undersized props?

Are there any prop size experts out there please.I have 2 of 13"x12" fixed props on my 38 leopard sailing cat. They r behind 2.33 to 1 gearbox on a 38hp Yanmar shaft drive. The boat weighs about 11 tonnes loaded and it seems underpowered. The experts in Australia say these r the correct props.Has any other leopard owners got any comments please!
I would look forward to any input.
Cheers
Peter

Re: Undersized props?

Suggest you search and or post this in the catamaran thread, or propellers thread.
"Boats for sale" is only likely to get responses like this suggestion. ;-)

Re: Undersized props?

Do your engines overrev underway?
That would be a good test imho.

Re: Undersized props?

Why do you say it seems underpowered?
I have 40 HP in a 38' mono that displaces about 12 tons. I'd like more maybe, but its not underpowered.
What is max RPM at full throttle?

Are you trying to give the props away?
