A Whale of a tale

This person claims they were engulfed by a whale and lived to tell about it. Love the end of the story, where it seems the whale knew the error in their ways!

Well they are filter feeders so any large objects that won't pass through are spat out..
Orca however are not.. lucky for him its was a humpback..

Hope the diving companies don’t start advertising “inside whale” experience! 😉

That’s what I was thinking too - I have dived twice and had my GoPro on both times, hope this guy had one on him and we get to see the footage in the future.

Re: A Whale of a tale

Apparently this guy was hunting lobster - so he would have been right on the bottom. Humpbacks are bottom-feeding filter feeders so it's quite possible for him to have been scooped up. And filter-feeding (balleen) whales can't swallow anything big - so yes, he would have been spat out. And how else to explain a dislocated knee (VERY painful!).

Very plausible. I believe it happened as he described it.

Re: A Whale of a tale

While I have no way of knowing for sure whether or not this actually happened, it does seem possible. There are many times where a person was accused of lying and later it came out that they were indeed telling the truth.

Perhaps one of the more famous cases was the lady in Australia who lost her baby to the dingoes. The authorities didn't believe her and only later did they find physical proof of her claim.

It definitely happened. It's been all over the new out here on Cape Cod. I've even eaten lobsters caught by this man!

That is quite the experience. I am glad to see that he is, for the most part, all right.
