Anyone In Venice Florida with damage reports?

Hey guys, Irma is up here blowing things around in the Panhandle of Florida now. One of my good friends has a sailboat down in Venice at the Robert's Bay Marina. Does anyone live nearby that can give a damage report on the area?

Robert's Bay Marina is at 1103 Tarpon Center Drive.

Crossing my fingers for him.

I'd try calling the Marina by phone, it may be working and maybe they can give you a report on that boat.

That's probably the best bet down there. I'm not sure if the phones are working or manned there right now. Since it's not my personal boat and such they're likely not going to give much information. It may just have to wait for them to get by there to check on it themselves.

Meanwhile I'm watching mine make large circles here. The wind is gusting around 40 here right now. I'm wishing I was able to get out there to it before the weather started getting bad here. It's on a 44lb CQR but I'm more concerned with the rode than the anchor holding. It is nerve wracking watching it. Every hotel and marina in town is full right now. This should pull through by tomorrow and I'll row out and get the work done I've been waiting to do. The anchorage here is about 4 feet of heavy mud, then sand.
