re: Arrived Safe -Any yachts currently on passage westbound to Marquesas?

Malcolm, I have made this thread a sticky to keep it at the top of the forum.

Good news that he has been sighted and well, I have been following Barry on YT.

Great news indeed. It will make an interesting video ( or more ) when he gets round to it. He'll be wanting a cold beer no doubt too.

That is great news, I think Barry might be pleasantly surprised by how many people were genuinely concerned for his well being,

I must admit to having difficulty sleeping last night, with Barry and Shadow in my thoughts. I too am looking forward to the next YT episode, with the story behind the story. Who knows? Perhaps he can wrangle a beer sponsorship from it. 😉 Glad to hear all is well!

re: Arrived Safe -Any yachts currently on passage westbound to Marquesas?

I wonder if this could be Barry?

it is shown as a yacht & is in his approximate position & is not moving very fast,

the Marquesa Islands are the group on the left.

Yes apart from that one AIS position there is no other yacht showing within approximately an 800 mile radius, excluding yachts already at the Marquese Islands.

I don't think that's Barry. That position is almost 600 miles EAST of the position Malcolm gave at the beginning of this thread. Small boats with Class B AIS don't typically show on the satellite view, unless they stay in one place for a while.
