Fred, please accept my condolences; we have never met but as sailors we have a bond across the seas.

Hi Fred,

I'm very sad to read how this unfolded.

It reminds all of us how fast the best times of life can end. Cherish the good times so that they can live forever in our minds and memories.
You surely have a wealth of great memories with her, I wish you wholeheartedly that they give you strength to learn to accept the loss.

Love over the oceans, may your souls sail them together forever.

Franziska

RIP Judy. It's a massive loss for Fred as well as a big loss for the forum. Fred, hopefully we'll still see you active here and get the opportunity to support you in your adventures, whatever they may look like as you try to piece this all back together.

I’m so sorry Fred. I can only imagine your pain. If I lost my Ann… I don’t know what I’d do. Just know, you have friends that you’ve touched through your words here on CF. We care.

And please remember to look after yourself through this ordeal. It’s too easy to forget this through these times.

Re: Cruising Forum Member in Distres-Judy Jensen

Fred,

My heart breaks for you.

I think daily about our friendship in Junior High School band, trumpet section.
I was second chair, you were third. Fun times.
We met again in Mexico, Tenacatita. Racing up the mangroves with our loves aboard powerful dinghies.

My wife Janet, is now in a very slow motion path of her memory loss. It's just a matter of time. Her abilities are fewer every day, but the end is as inescapable as the advancement of a glacier.

Which way to lose the love of our life is worse? Both are a terrible thing to experience.

My prayers are with you.

Steve

To all of my friends on Cruisers forum:

My heart is warmed by the outpouring of love and concern you have shown for Judy and me.

I thank you all for your kind words.

Judy is no longer with us and I am going to try to make a recovery.

Participating in the forum helps take my mind off the pain.

Thank you for being here.
