looking for a vessel in Caribbean island

Hi, I am a new member first thanks for having me on board here. I have a quick question.
I want to know if there's a website I can find a vessel without knowing the name of the vessel .Friend of ours with his daughter was recently in Guadalupe. He has told us that he is encountering some technical difficulties but they are able to solve the problem. Unfortunately we dont remember his vessels name and we have lost contact with him over 10 days now. we are very worried, I told my husband to contact his ex wife or his mother but my husband said is best not to worry the family.
so my question is , is there a web side we can search his name . we know that his vessel is registered in Swiss .
thank you so much in advance

Do you know if the vessel has / uses AIS? If so, you can check one of the sites like Marine Traffic or Vessel Finder. They will allow you to filter by country of registry.

If they've been there, you will be able to see where they were last seen by one of the base stations.

Marine Traffic seems to be better. Give that a look.

There are several FaceAche Caribbean cruising groups. Maybe join the Grenada group because it's one of the most active and ask for advice there.

At least on my computer: zoom in. hoover over a boat and the name will appear. If they have entered specific boat information, it will be there if you click on their boat.

I might be able to help. What sort of a sailboat was this? Is this a single-handed Swiss sailor?

He is in good shape and was last seen in Martinique recently. Since I have no idea what the true intent is; I am wary of giving out additional information.

If you see/contact him, might tell him Mamagirl (no idea real name, but could send private message here) would like to establish contact.

Message delivered, but no privacy concern.

Re: looking for a vessel in Caribbean island

I am no longer in visual contact with this Swiss-Flagged boat and the one person I saw aboard. But since there aren't too many such sailboats around, this might have been him. I did not see a second person aboard.
There is currently a bigger storm heading this way, so many sailboats are sailing south to avoid this weather. I am one, as was this Swiss boat.
