Re: sxm/anguilla rescue and evacuation information

Maybe not the right place to ask... but does anyone have any information on Mark of Sealife? Did he leave before this, or was he still there?

I sure hope so.. Would be nice to hear that someone I met doesn't have bad news..

His signature says he is "Living in Britain", so I'm holding out some hope.

thanks ann

i have asked the mods to remove non relevant posts for clarity,as this is shared on a few different websites for those effected....and we don't really want everybody to know how much fun we have on CF

please post if you have posts of relevant information or are cruisers on st martin and nearby islands and can update on the current situation there.

i'm guessing that soon our american brothers and sister, and all those on the other caribbean islands effected will soon be in the same situation as st martin,so hopefully this can in some way act as a template for disaster relief in the best spirit of cruisers forum.

stay safe and god bless all those in the path of irma

update

any flight or vessel also needs to get permission from the minister of tourism at

sxmflights@gmail.com

due to landing conditions otherwise you are liable to be turned away

"Rolando Brison Director of Tourism is assisting the Dutch Marines with relaying information of all flights into St. Maarten. Any airlines that are ready to come into St. Maarten are asked to contact him right away at sxmflights@gmail.com. Please include the following information: Contact Info, Tail Number, Airline Name. The intent at this time should be supplies coming in with no pax, and pax leaving with only ONE carry one. Do not go to the airport, there is curfew and you will not be allowed. Please wait for further notice!
Anyone who has goods they want to help get to St. Maarten, please email as well and give a count of what you want to send and from where."
