Re: Vessel overdue to Lunenburg Nova Scotia

If anyone sees Strange Situation out there, please contact your country's MRCC (marine rescue coordination center; in the US, and Canada, it's your country's Coast Guard).

Re: Vessel overdue to Lunenburg Nova Scotia

update at 6 pm

A vessel named Strange Situation was reported overdue while en route from Bermuda to Lunenburg harbour.

According to the U.S Coast Guard tweet, the 50-foot (15 metre) sloop departed Bermuda on May 16 and was scheduled to arrive in Lunenburg by May 25.

Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Halifax confirms the search area has expanded beyond the Canadian Search and Rescue Region.

Re: Vessel overdue to Lunenburg Nova Scotia

This doesn't look good at all. A journey of ~1300 n. mi., and they allowed 17 days for it? that's way under 100 n. mi./day. For a 50 footer. Hope they didn't leave on time, and everyone's okay.
