Volvo Racing-2018 Collision near Hong Kong

I started watching a few of the YouTube videos guarding Vestas 11th Hour Racing collision in January 2018 with a fishing boat off HK. One Chinese fisherman drown.

I haven’t been able to find an official account stating the fishing boat wasn’t operating legally. Ventas navigator said he could see three vessels using AIS and suddenly they crashed.

Anyone know more about this disaster?

Yes. There is no report from any official source. Volvo Ocean Race and Vestas paid off the family and probably the government as well. I was looking forward to the report because of what could be learned from it. But no joy.
