6.5 foot draft

Ill be sailing the out islands of the bahamas to turks and caicos and on to the dominican republic. I wondered if anyone has any :advice, marina recommendations, anchorages, good bars etc.
any info from direct experience is greatly appreciated

Not a good draft for the Bahamas:

I draw 5.5 and keep running aground.

Pay attention and be friends with yer tide-table.

As far as where to go and to sail....?

I like the Exumas a lot.
And the Berrys. And the Near Bahamas...(Bimini, Cat, Gun, etc)

All the Bahamian islands are good.

Good cruising guides out there for the entire trip down Island:
"The Gentlemans Guide to passages South" by Bruce Van Sant is a very good one.
Takes ya from Florida to the Virgins, then some.
