Figure 8 Bridge Opening Restricted?????

I heard that the Figure 8 Bridge is on a restricted opening schedule for repairs starting Nov 1, but can't find anything about it on Skipper Bob's site. Does anyone know the new schedule?

I've always found Tom and Mel Neale's east coast updates at the boat US site to be the best and latest news on the ICW.

While we're on bridges get a load of this!

George C. Musson Bridge, Mile 845: Beginning on September 24 at 7:35 a.m. and ending at 4:50 p.m. on December 21, 2007, the George C. Musson Bridge will open on signal EXCEPT: 7:35 a.m.-4:50 p.m. it will be CLOSED, and will only open at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The vertical clearance will be reduced by 4 feet due to scaffolding. Vessels may pass under the bridge during repairs.

This is the old Coronado bridge just north of New Smyrna Beach. 2 openings a day!! Going to have lots of fun with this one. It'll be difficult if not impossible to get from Daytona to Titusville in one day.

Anyone that does Floriduh on the inside is into self punishment. We always jump in and out and sometimes do a direct run from St Mary's to Key Biscayne. But several other options are available.

We jump in and out too. Unfortunately sometimes in November and December you have to wait four or five days to go out due to weather so you might as well plod along down the ICW. Besides, this year I have to go to Titusville for a good diesel guy, once you get down to Miami you can forget about getting good service on anything. Florida isn't too bad, at least you have something to look at, like the multi million dollar houses. Georgia I'll take a pass on.
