The Ole Mississippi

wantin to take the family to new orleans from hannibal missouri & was wondering if it's been done, could be done or can't be done.

aint bought the boat YET. but WHEN we buy it, it's most likely gonna be a cuddy cabin around 25 foot. it's GOTTA be big enuf for all 4 of us (3 of us are 5' 9" and taller. the other 1 can fix in a glovebox)

wondering where i can get maps of the ole miss, radio freq., tolls/fees for using the 25' x 12' piece of water and ANYTHING else ya'll think we may need (other than about a brazillian dollars for fuel)

ANY help will be GREATLY appreciated

thanks guys n gals
Jeff

Have fun and take lots of pictures. In fact, if ya can start a blog of the adventure would be good to show the little one when she/he is older (the one that can fit in a glovebox). The Ole Miss is a beautiful river with very unique communities along the way. Godspeed to your adventures.

in a sailboat--would be difficult--as some friends have advised--i thought a trip like that in a sailboat would be fun--but in a power boat--you have the ability to deal with the currents and eddies and traffic--keep your eyes open and have fun--take many pix--should be a cool adventure--watch out for commercial traffic!!! there is a lot of it
