Traveling Intracoastal with powerboat

I am anticipating moving up in the type of powerboat I own and was wondering whether a boat with an air height of 9 feet would move easier under most bridges on the intracoastal than a boat with an air height of 11 feet 4 inches..if that really makes a difference. Travel area would be Florida to east coast and back...Thanks

Both of these clearances would be without problems on the ICW,- 'even the New Jersey ICW. Since much of Florida is also the East Coast, it's not clear where you would be cruising.

Air draft (height of the boat) should not be a factor for you.

If you plan to run the coast pay attention to seakeeping. It can get rolly for powerboats. For the NJ ICW you need to pay attention to draft and learn to keep charts up to date and stay on top of the USACOE data.

I've driven boats from all those brands. Nothing stands out for me - nice boats. My question is why outboards?
