Phil Reddy

Dear all, first day on the forum- After nearly 4 years in the Dream Yacht Ownership Scheme and approx 8 weeks a year usage from November onwards we take full ownership of our first boat a Benateau 41 -both exiting and worrying at the same time!! Initial thoughts - our mooring lines will need replacing any recommendations for best places to purchase these please for both best quality and price would be most welcome. The boat will be kept close to Athens this winter all though sending product from the UK is a possible option - thanks in anticipation regards Phil Reddy

Re: Phil Reddy

Welcome to CF

I have always found Jimmy Greens in Dorset quite good on prices and if you look under the "Description" tag they give some useful advice on sizes etc.

It would be worth comparing quality, size and price with the local Greek chandlers. Do consider the size of the cleats too.

We use steel spring things for the permanent mooring lines which always live on the pontoon and rubber stretchy things when away visiting other places. They take some of the force out when its choppy.
