Just looking at buying a yacht in Australia..cavalier..northshore..easterly..mottle. .Columbia...compass..up to 70k..any suggestions..

Go look at some of them in your price range. Narrow down the selections. If you go for a Cavalier, make sure the surveyor checks out the mast step, some friends of ours had to rebuild theirs. Suit the yacht to your expected needs. Bargain well.

Seriously,though, Google the brands you're interested in, see if you can find out the problems each has. Go look at boats. Boat choice is so much a personal thing, don't let a committee choose it for you.
