BOS LE 3400 Lithium Batteries

Has anybody installed or worked with BOS LE3400 lithium batteries. They seem to be an ideal solution for our 20 year old boat. From reading the literature the whole existing AGM system remains and the LE3400 piggy back upstream on the AGM batteries. The AGM batteries act a buffer for the Lithium cells. No wiring or equipment changes to the existing system. Any experience or comments welcome. Thanks

No experience, but these seem very expensive. Each module is 28ah at 12v, and costs around $400, excluding VAT. So, a small 300 ah system is $4,000. The "cheap Chinese drop-ins" for 300ah are about $1,000. The MasterVolt and Victron systems cost less.

If you leave AGM in the system, you are defeating all the main reasons for Lithium. There are several companies that do this. But the very concept doesn't make any sense.
