BS a 70mm can carry 400A, just has a huge voltage drop while 200A is fine, 2 in parallel is 400 and slightly superior to one 120qmm, easier to route and i eg have equipment till 70qmm, above you need a different and much more expensive set of tool plus bigger then 70qmm is often not avaliable.

Regarding sterling you are right, they have changed that. its not standing anymore in the installation guide "device is not protected and can be destroyed during an event. In this case it need to be replaced."
ABYC explicitly allows the paralleling of conductors to achieve an acceptable voltage drop or to make routing easier in E-11.15.1.2.9

But not to raise the needed amperage, means for 70sqmm they have 190A outside emgine rooms. Due ro european norm 2x70sqm is 355A while ABYC has still 2x70sqm=190A just with a better voltage drop while even Victron has 2x70 for 350A in their manuals az recommendation. A 70sqmm will also withstand 355A just with a higher voltage drop.

You are not stuck with 30A ones but they are so most common.
Can you post a link to the 100A Victron B2B charger referenced above? You’ve mentioned these before, but as far as I am aware, the highest capacity 12-volt Victron Orion charger is 30A (360 watts nominal).

Victron calls them Buck-Boost converter:
https://www.victronenergy.de/dc-dc-c...verter-25a-50a
you can freely program them to what you want them to do...the 100A one costs 1300Euro...
I would recommend to use 3xOrion 30A DC2DC, you have more backup and easier to use plus cheaper.
