Between 10v and 16v it can start the engine several times.

My Boostcap was specifically designed for this purpose by Maxwell...The trucking industry have been using this technology for years and emergency starting between 10 and 16v.

It also costs less than 150€
Mhh that's actually the idea, combine small LTO and maxwell boostcap, even the voltages are similar.
A 1p6S 20Aah Toshiba SCIB that keeps the charge and parallel the Maxwell boostcap. The LTO connect it directly in parallel with an argofet as Jedi suggests or eg as buffer battery with a DC2DC converter.
For 300Euro you have a combo that lasts min. 30 years and starts everything you throw at it plus that's quite small and light...plus safe compared to these LI-ion jump packs.

The LTO holds the charge for very long but is too small with 20Ah to start a bigger diesel but the boostcap can and is recharged by the LTO. LTO in 1p6S don't need a BMS, A BMV712 with disconnect relay and an active balancer is all that's needed so the boostcap cannot trip a BMS when it's recharging.

Like this you have redudancy.
LTO runs your Navstation or is just a backup if your house dies and the boostcap starts the engine, recharged by LTO

Mhh lets see if that ebay guy will ship to canaries, its not lithium so no dangerous good :-). Like to try that out, STB engine directly from LFP house while BB engine from 20AH LTO+boostcap...if that works a 2nd boostcap for STB that's recharged by the LFP house or by the BB LTO too.
How would you spec a 7m cable between LTO and the Boostcap?

in Europe at the moment, you can get Eve 280 cells for 68€ each as they can be purchased without tax, so 272 for a 12v bank or 544 for a 24v bank.
This together with the BMS is the same price as AGM. Which makes it half the price when we factor in the only 50% depth of discharge of AGM.

Of course you have to make it yourself. ....but this is an advantage for anyone with a world cruising boat. flexibility, takes less space, maintainable, cheaper, the only downside is not as waterproof.
4 EVe 280AH and a BMS fits in perfect in milwaukee compact toolbox which is IP 65 rated and stackable. Then it's as waterproof as any other drop in but that case is far more durable then any dropin.
