$77 for 240Ah battery, that's really very cheap. May I know which brand it is?

I guess you mean Xinlongding? I checked their website www.xinlongding.com, but didn't find 240Ah battery, only samll medical equipment batteries... Where did you get their 240Ah battery spec may I know?

Not trying to led you down, but I think it's better using well-know brand batteries, once you installed, the whole wiring and settings is no easy job. Well at least to me, it's complicated 😂

this is a screen grab off their TA site for them .
The installing and wiring of the cells to the bank I want adding in the bms I want would actually take me less than 10 minutes . I used to do it for a living.
My current bank is made up of camel brand cells. At 100ah in a 4p4s configuration .
I want the additional power when I get my refer installed.

The prior screenshots are from my direct conversation with them concerning the cells.

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

My last post I screwed up what the amp hour was, it ended up being $0.63 an ah per cell. But they're sold. Will Prowse earlier said he wouldn't by CALB because of quality control issues but I guess he changed his mind. I looked up his link to AliExpress, and now it's free shipping to US @ $391.68 for 4 100-ah cells https://youtu.be/Di2o7an-WJw
Here's the link to AliExpress
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000306076197.html

I just realized the OP was asking about drop-ins and I've been giving leads to just the cells. I hope that's okay. If not I'll start another thread.

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

I think it's a good idea to have separate threads, one for drop ins and one for individual cells. So I started a new thread: Links to lifepo4 battery cells.

Will Prowse is no expert authority, stop touting him as such. Yes good videos for beginners to learn the basics, but

for specific reco's, there are dozens more knowledgeable members right on this website.

Re: lithium battery source/price thread

I've never heard of genuine new Grade A CALB ever having QC issues.

Nor Winston/Thundersky/Voltronix, GBS, Sinopoly and A123 (now Lithium Werks / Valence / Super B)

But there are plenty of scamming sellers falsely claiming that's what they're selling, and

plenty of users murdering their bank with ignorant care and / or crappy infrastructure who might claim the cells were at fault.

This is all true but at least he is putting his money where his mouth is and doing the videos showing what he is actually doing

Yes, absolutely, providing a tremendous service to the community.

But just like Battery University, not all that canonical to be taken as gospel, lots with a pound of salt.

I dont think he is claiming to be. Why do you think people should listen to you and not him? Do you have specific examples of where he is saying misleading things? Are you claiming to be an 'expert authority'?

Not sure why you feel the need to be negative and rag on him? I think he does a good job, he is quite knowledgable. He is also contributing to the knowledge base using his own time and money.

If only we had more that contribute like he does instead of knock others.
