"Odd" Capacity cells

I've seen a quantity of cells being offered at odd capacities: 117AH, 264AH, 277AH, etc.

I suspect these may have been intended for 120AH, 250AH, 300AH marketing, for example. Due to some manufacturing issue they didn't make it through QC for capacity reasons. The vendors are offering these as 1st quality, matched cells. So, it seems they are not "one off" - but unintended. It's not just a few vendors, either.

Aside from the issue of trusting [or not] the vendor what are your thoughts on this?

I see that it could create a problem trying to match a cell that dies, which happens even with respected manufacturers like Winston 700AH.

Re: "Odd" Capacity cells

Or they are just repackaged used cells listed at 80-90% of the original capacity. Yes, actual capacities could be all over the place which would be a pain if you were trying to match cells
This may be fine depending on your requirements but I'd be inquisitive and find out exactly what is being offered.

Re: "Odd" Capacity cells

In my instance they are new, manufactured 11/19 and confirmed Ganfeng.
