Re: Would you buy these batteries

All the blogs, experts and advice I've seen everywhere says don't buy LiFePO cells on eBay or other random sources but stick with a known supplier.

Not positive about this but researching from reputable suppliers I think the grade A is actually the second level of quality after the best cells are tested and sold.

Re: Would you buy these batteries

Not just NO but Hell NO.
They are from a not well documented Chinese supplier/manufacturer.
You have no Idea if the batteries are manufactured by the brand or just sourced from
some unknown or various factories deep in China only to have a common brand sticker put on them.
Quality Assurance - unknown
Certifications - unknown
Technical Support - unknown
Warranty - Good luck
Will they catch on fire - maybe.....maybe not
Chinese factory return policy - Forget about it

Batteries are a considerable and important investment that impact vessel safety.
Peace of mind and the safety of your friends and family - priceless

Re: Would you buy these batteries

Go check out the folks at https://diysolarforum.com if you want to build your own pack. I bought 8 230AHr batteries from Docan, shipped out their Houston warehouse. Well known vender on the above forums, and everything seems to be on the up and up. Too many horror stories of people getting screwed with random cells for me to want to venture otherwise.

I wouldn't buy cells on ebay but it isn't 16 cells for $1,100. The listing has options for 4, 8, and 16 cells. 16 cells are $3689.

Re: Would you buy these batteries

my 2c is simple.....find a place that sells or services golf carts.....or provides batteries for them. They use 6v batteries. Two of them is your 12v. Around 225 ah. Golf carts batteries can take discharging and re-charging s-o-o-o-o-o much better than a 12v bat. Their only disadvantage is that they are a little taller than a 12v bat....I went 6v years ago and never looked back....you can get them for as little as $150....$300 for two...
do some google research......

Re: Would you buy these batteries

Sober, I dare say that grade A batteries on platforms like eBay and AliExpress are very rare, and it is recommended to go to a branded battery supplier to buy them.

What is grade A battery? Interested can read:

Try Amy here

I bought 24 cells and BMS purchased on Alibaba
All cells A grade matched and batched
All arrived and checked out as per sent specs (all better than advertised)
Took a while but all good thus far
Impressed with results.
