Re: Bahamas - EMERGENCY POWERS (COVID 19)(NO. 1) ORDER, 2020 ???

I’m not so good at linking to things etc, but for those interested here is a screen shot of the applicable portion of the US Embassy’s Email.
Seems pretty straight forward to me.
Yes the ones who called the BRDF on the Cruiser in Long Island were aware of this Email also, cause before I left, I made them aware of it.
Yet they still tried to get a fellow cruiser fined or sent to jail?

Ever notice how a crisis can bring out the best in some people and the worst in others?

Funny how the cashiers now look like bandits.
One county now wants us to do the same under penalty 0f $500 and 6 months. Touchy aren't they?
I'm on my boat near the Cape with 70 others who really don't go anywhere either. The office throws the mail to you. Since this started ... 68 days self quarantine. Yes, since the beginning of February when gov started spouting off about it.
p.s. interpret the comma anyway you wish.
p.p.s. making stickers for T shirts, I'm free!

The Cape?

Cape Cod?
Cape May?
Cape Fear?
Cape Canaveral?
Cape Sable?
Or???

Just wondered where the mask rule is in place? Was told by family that this is the rule from Cape Pogue and points west.

More likely Cape Eleuthera, or Cape Santa Maria (Long Island).

My bad, just used to saying it and people know. But they're in Florida too.
Canaveral, between the Indian and Banana rivers. Off the canal.

Somebody posted here about going to war after this is over, but I can't find it now.
A limited little thing with China? Most likely not little if we bring back our companies as we should.
Our corporate greed let them become what they are. Now it may be to late.

Perhaps he reads Pravda or Tass. Both had articles about finance ministers comments on it.

p.s. yesah, I did.

I kind of thought it might be Canaveral. People in that area tend to think of it as THE cape.

My boat is a bit north on the St John's River in Green Cove. So far that area is really lagging behind in social distancing, PPE and shelter in place. At the yard there's still the evening get together to grill burgers and drink beer. Most of the live aboards do avoid it but plenty are there like nothing has happened. Then heard on the news that this county has one of the highest rates of infection in N Florida.

I see similar behavior here on the Ortega as well. People still crowd you at the store and then look at you like YOU’RE the rude one when you ask them to make space. Only about 10% of the populace are wearing masks and almost none wear gloves. Clay does have a high rate of infection for its population and it will be certain to rise even more. The state has a site that allows you to track the virus by zip code, very useful and interesting to watch it rise every day.

It not very easy to navigate, but if you play around with it the data is there.

Looks like Cay Cay has a case now although it could have come over with a day worker from Bimini. Total cases up to 47 nationwide IIRC.
