Two, with the last one being more than two weeks earlier.

Re: Canadian COVID-19 News

Well ! Covid has screwed us for the 2nd winter in a row.

Biden has just extended the border closure for Canadian boats again, this time til' November 21st ... too late for us to get through the NY State Canal System.

We know of at least a dozen Canadian boats who have crossed into Oswego in the last few days convinced they could beat the system and get south. They might get away with it but the risks are too high for us.

We wrote this article trying to advise them of the risks ... none listened.

Cruising Licenses & Permits to Proceed

Just saying.
Hmmm. I'm surprised there's been no push back from the other (dark) side on this. Or on anything else recently for that matter. What a pleasant change.

Not to out-whine you BP , but I haven't even seen my boat in two years now. At best it will be nearly two and half years before we even see her again.

If the border is open when the canals open next May we'll be across in minutes. Don't give a damn if they lock the doors behind us.

Would it be worth contacting the US embassy to plead your case? They are losing a winter's worth of tourism and related purchases from you.

Don't see how an embassy official could overide Biden when the combined political force of all the border states couldn't do it (and they have been trying).

I am but I don't believe it makes any difference. I believe Justdim has so damaged the country it will not even begin recovery until my great grand kids are retiring.

It seems people just can't help themselves. No wonder the world is so screwed up.

I'm listening with half an ear but with the lineups in TO (another covid-related disaster) and the mail-in votes I doubt we will see anything until tomorrow. Should make the folks in BC a bit happier to know the thing isn't already decided before they finish voting.
