It is true, there's no shortage of misinformation/disinformation to go around, and it seems few are immune, even "One of the most respected in the field..." just saying...

"June 4, 2020 - The online medical journal The Lancet has apologized to readers after retracting a study that said the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine did not help to curb COVID-19 and might cause death in patients." https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/2020...oroquine-study

And I can, like you just did, cherry pick other studies showing the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine. Start there!

You might be able to, but you don't, hence you're just making unsupported statements (opinions).

Researchers had been trusting the data from Surgisphere, which claimed to be a one-stop shop for up-to-date hospital data. But when publications like the Lancet started looking deeper into it, the data started looking suspect, and Surgisphere wouldn't permit more checking.
More here.

It's one thing to do sloppy science; it's another to be performing good science, but being shafted by your primary supplier of data.

I'd bet you won't find any recent studies that show significant therapeutic benefit for HCQ against covid. There was some hint in the spring that it might be effective, but more thorough studies and trials showed that it wasn't. Still waiting for more reports from the studies on ivermectin.

MDH lab testing confirms nation’s first known COVID-19 case associated with Brazil "P.1" variant
The Minnesota Department of Health confirmed the case on Monday, the same day President Joe Biden extended coronavirus restrictions barring most non-US citizens who recently travelled to Brazil, South Africa and several European countries from entering the US.
