Catching COVID is orders of magnitude more risky than being vaccinated.
Masks are dangerous IF they are efficient. Thanks god, they are not. The immune system needs training. If you wear a mask for a long time and do not expose your organism to germs, you become more vulnerable. Wearing a mask makes it more likely to have a tougher infection.

If you are exposed to low covid virus loads, like on the street or in shops, you may catch some and your immune system will cope with them easily. The mask - if efficient - will prevent this natural immunity built up. Instead you get shot with poison and your organism is abused to produce viral proteins by RNA or artificialy modified Adenoviruses to reach the same effect - to expose your organism to covid proteines.

The risk assessment varies from person to person.

You may or may not get Covid either way vaccinated or not, but you will definitely get your poison when accepting the shot and risk side effects or long term damage.

BTW, it will very unlikely kill someone else if the holy vaccine is so efficient as you say and most believe this, if not - the likelyhood for this is the same as with a vaccine - because then the vaccine does not matter.

Hmmm Your Logic is flawed - The report is that the vaccine is 100% effective against serious illness and hospitiliastion, so how am I going to Kill anyone that has been vaccinated?

The likelihood of death or injury in young and healthy people with no known underlying issues is incredibly small.

Also those healthy and young that are not vaccinated will acquire natural immunity and whilst, if visibly ill with symptoms will be at home quarantining and after will have had it and not pass onto anyone due to their natural immunity.

So for the billionth time you really have not answered the question with any reasonable answer. You are just repeating the corporate mantra and that's it.

With a 100% effectiveness of the vaccine, statistically you really don't have a leg to stand on.

Do you STILL, after all this time, not get that masks are not to protect you as much as they are to protect others from what’s in your exhalations? A properly fitted and worn N95 mask does offer the wearer some protection. but most of us aren’t wearing properly fitted N95’s so in that sense you’re right that generally speaking, mask wearing does little to protect the wearer. But that’s not a reason to not wear them because even a mediocre mask limits the range that you broadcast tiny droplets when you exhale or cough so that’s a courtesy we extend to others around you just in case you are not yet aware you’ve been infected with Covid. In my case, I’ve been vaccinated so there’s very little chance that I could catch Covid or infect anyone else but strangers don’t know all that so I don’t mind wearing a mask while inside public places even if all that accomplishes is to make some stranger feel a bit more comfortable.

Suggesting that mask wearing, especially a typical loose fitting mask that most people wear will damage your immune system is ridiculous. So is calling a vaccine that has already saved countless lives a poison. If you don’t want to get vaccinated then don’t, but be ready to accept that eventually the majority who have been vaccinated may not want to be around you in order to limit our exposure to new variants. All you accomplish by posting all your tortured rationalizations is to make yourself and your fellow anti vaxers look like tinfoil hat wearing crackpots.

I totally agree reading expert opinions from the start of this thing, most of which have been true. Then you read what is going on in India where they felt they were close to herd immunity and not vulnerable to the kind of outbreak they are in the middle of. Awfully confusing in some elements this virus.

The outbreak in India is largely down to Modi who began holding mass rallies for his re-election and also permitting the gathering of over a million people for a religious festival on the Ganges.. a party fest for any virus.
Politics vs People once again.

Certainly no person with access to the news we have would argue with your assessment that these gatherings were ill advised and led to the vast number of infections. My point was a bit adjacent and was about the fact that many thought India was over 30% of the population had been infected and many more had been vaccinated leading to the estimate that they were close to herd immunity.

Very true. It's sad to see CF become the source of so much misinformation. Happily, the voices of unreason remain few here.

True, but methinks that was mainly in the cities whereas these mass rallies and religious festivals sucked in people from from small towns and villages largely isolated and unaffected previously who had no reason to gather in such numbers.. but land owners bully their tenants into attending the rallies and the Ganges festival is on a par with the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca.

What is going on in India is that 1,400 million people live there. So the death rate there is no different from that of most eg European countries.

But of course the system of processing the dead (whether from Covid or anything else) in India is not via the clean and invisible crematoriums we have in the west. So pictures of funeral pyres make it all the easier to continue to whip up hysteria. And in terms of those death rates, well excess deaths over where I live are close to 0 for most of 2021.

Not all the people who run crematoriums in India agree with you
"“In normal times, we were cremating three bodies a day, but in the past 10 days it has increased,” he said. “One day it was 18, another day it was 20, then 22, and one day 25. In the past 10 days, we haven’t had any less than 12 bodies a day– 90% of them corona deaths.”

It's true... India's current death and case rates are not out of line with Europe. Sheer numbers make it seem scarier, but the comparisons are not really bad ... yet.

The scary thing is the trend lines. Deaths lag case rates, but both trend lines are heading up, as you can see in the two linked graphs (Data: https://ourworldindata.org/covid-cases).

And whatever the cause, I think Dan's point about herd immunity is salient for all of us. India did indeed look quite good for a long time, and natural herd immunity was thought to be a factor. The emerging variants seem to be suggesting the virus can still win.

We're all banking on vaccine-induced immunity to save our collective bacons. But the India experiment shows why the best approachs will likely remain basic public health measures: Stay home when sick. Keep distance, and wear a mask when that is not possible.

You also need to take into account normal habits, few cover mouths when coughing or sneezing, hawking and spitting in the street, betel nut and paan which is chewed and spat everywhere by the majority..

Sure... basic public health measures would help address all these issues.

Also full of nonsense, misunderstanding and ignorant bias. But yes, vaccines generate immunity. One right.

Yes. But in virtually all cases, getting vaccinated is lower risk than catching COVID.

And the risk from getting vaccinated is still way, way smaller than that. Why are you OK with people spreading and catching COVID? How is it not better to get the vaccine into as many arms as possible?
