No the issue is DYC and with tons of bad reviews and proven criminal behavior it is actually your own fault buying through them and expecting they fullfil their contract. And i am sure they share she profit by playing you and others with this well-known game. You can consider yourself lucky that you have even received your Bali...
Just got to know a couple that via DYC didn't receive their boat yet, its fully paid and due to delivery since February 2021...
Sorry I don't understand people thinking all goes smooth with proven bandits like DYC...you just see the big bucks they tell you you save but you can be sure all they care is their profit...nobody give you 1000s of bucks as goodie because your just such a nice customer, definitely not a DYC...
sitting in Maldives you will have big troubles sewing them.
Having right and getting your right is a different cup of tea...
A bit research and healthy common sense would have told you to stay clear of DYC.

Was an expensive lessons learned...
Well also buying a Bali, sails horrible slams in waves like Phil Collins drums....if you want a swimming house boat, ok that ticks the boxes..... but if your happy with it all good.

I am really wondered that people like you don't do a thorough research from whom you buy before spending 300k+
The horriffic facts about DYC are easily found... Just google DYC reviews and you should be on high alert....i also do this with 20bucks stuff on Amazon google product +review and you mostly get quite good infos in minutes if its ok what you wanna buy by reading between the lines and applying healthy common sense.
And there are still plenty out there every day buying from DYC...
What else does a company like DYC need to do that customer stop doing business with them...all is there from theft to contract breach to fraud....

Re: Dream Yacht suspending Guaranteed Charter Income payments

So if I understand you correctly you are not a charter boat owner, but you have just purchased through DYC?
Pfewww.

So DYC was your dealer, and they got a great dealer discount on the boat. That discount is meant to cover profits, marketing, and aftersales - including warranty work to some extend.

Whatever they can do to make you pay for warranty work, they will! It's all their bottom line.

Actually I would consider yourself lucky. imagine you had been a charter boat owner who bought through DYC. Your experience would just beginning now

The usual experience with DYC shows it's a greedy, incompetent, unreliable and unprofessional company only interested in protecting themselfs and their bottom line.
It doesn't matter if you look at it from a charter perspective, from a charter boat owner perspective, or from a used-boat buyer perspective. It's always the same stinky slimy mud.

Luckily I only know the charter guest perspective and from second hand the brokerage perspective dealing with the European brokerage branch, namely Gerry Jacob. Never met any broker that was as dishonest as this guy. Comparing to a sticky backyard car dealer would be unfair to all car dealers.
I am genuinely 100% not interested in dealing with this company.

I wonder what all this bad press is costing DYC and Bali.

Personally I hope it will ruin DYC. Nobody needs a shady company like DYC, so the sooner they go out of business the better for everyone

You’re on page 25 of this discussion. I’ll bet it’s covered in the previous 24 pages.

Re: Dream Yacht suspending Guaranteed Charter Income payments

Why is it shady? Well I had my experience trying to help a buddy purchase a used baot from them. Pushy, dishonest, horrible, fraudulent, written contracts are meaningless,...
Luckily I could persuade him to walk away and let someone else buy this perfectly maintained boat in mint condition (a.k.a. wreck).

Regarding charter experience there is enough to read at trustpilot:
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/ww...chtcharter.com

I'd rather book a $5 bed in a Thai hostel than charter with DYC.

Too criminal and big to fail, they are f...over customers since years.....
It sadly won't ruin them, maybe if it would be a buyer market they care more.
But market is so dry and a sellers market that even the worst blue water lemons sell like hot bread...
And they offer great discounts, have good marketing and sell dreams... A lot get blinded by that, make the fist in the pocket, pay their lessons learned and you will never hear of them... The 5% that make noise they give a f....
They made a lot money already and will do more
