I’m open to it too. Anyone?

In the meantime my sleuthing has brought me to “The Great Reset,” and The International Monetary Fund (IMF)

It looks like there’s a vested interest in keeping the economy on the rocks.

1) Lockdowns are basically a last ditch effort for countries without highly functioning infection control systems to temporarily stop hospitals from imploding. Sort of like some places in the world you can drink the tap water, in other places you need to boil it. In some countries they don't have lockdowns to speak of because of better public health systems.

2) Consider that the mask question is not the correct one. We don't care what % number of viral particles the mask blocks if A) mask use is associated with a high percentage reduction of disease in the community (for this reduces morbidity and mortality), B) it costs next to nothing as an intervention. Beyond this one could research for more, but those kinds of researchers don't ask your constellation of questions. Many studies on this, here's one:

Not sure about some of the questions... but here "I am".... -6.13 & -7.74, a lefty libertarian (I'm hesitant about the "libertarian" part: contrary to Libertarianism in the USA, I support high(er) levels of taxation and government spending on health, welfare and education.) Thanks!
Masks do work but it is not how people think that they work. They work by keeping people from touching their mouth and nose.

At least, that's my opinion (unsubstantiated HERE).
My socialist side agrees, but my libertarian side says NO WAY!

Actually, my somewhat flippant point was that reality is not affected by human psychological classifications. Reality just is. We impose (silly) political meaning.

Well I can't. I mean really, can't. There's at least one other CF member in the same boat as I (), although he has another boat elsewhere, so I win! (by losing ).

Whodathunk?
I might have rated myself further left, and less libertarian.

I'll have to go back, and read their explanations.

Oh sure, hours of fun. Here's mine. As I said, I'm a libertarian-socialist

Rights come with responsibilities.
Dead right Mike. Those nutbars better get used to staying at home, because I’m pretty sure no other country is going to want them crossing their border.

But I still expect civil society to make vaccinations a standard for participation. I've read that vaccinations will come with a record, or card, that will be issued to the individual. I expect to see businesses and other institutions start to use this as a benchmark for access, or service. Maybe it will be 'show your card, or wear a mask' approach.

There will be small hold out areas, which is just fine by me. Sadly, it's a problem that will fix itself over time. A some state motto says: Live free or die. Your choice ... just don't drag everyone else down with you.
