Do you mean like one’s reputation? I agree it is hard to trust people who publicly break minor rules without shame. Makes you wonder what they’re doing in private.

I tend to be very honest about what I have done and do.. from stupid mistakes to rules I bend..
I guess that's what rich folks call "knowing where the loopholes are".
Maybe that's stood me in good stead..

Meanwhile, back on topic...
It seems that if flying from Lisbon to Madrid one needs a PCR test, a current and valid Vaccine Passport and fill in an online form for which you will then receive a QR Code to download to your phone to be presented along with your Vaccine QR Code..
Not back to normal yet.. hope things have changed come the 15th..
Would go by train as the land entry has no restrictions but.. the Night Train from Lisbon is not running..

Twenty two posts and not a mention of Covid in Northern Europe.

Nothing but a grizzle about fonts.

I guess it is all over Covidwise in Northern Europe.

Let's add one more off topic post then...

One should read all the rules from time to time and especially when quoting parts of them.

Here's two that might have escaped attention.

There are plenty more to browse while waiting for Northern Europe Covid discussion to resume.

Re: Northern Europe during Pandemic -- Summers 2020 & 2021 & onwards

FYI:

What are the current France entry requirements for fully vaccinated travelers?

As of Feb. 12, fully vaccinated travelers coming from countries designated as “green” or “orange” (the United States is currently orange) no longer need to take a COVID-19 test before departing for France.

This is welcome news that means vaccinated and boosted travelers can enter France by showing proof of vaccination with an approved vaccine, specifically:

Pfizer.
Moderna.
AstraZeneca.
Johnson & Johnson.
The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs provides a list of countries by color here. https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/en/co...ions-answered/

2. Is a booster required to be considered ‘fully vaccinated’?
Yes. Travelers are only considered fully vaccinated if they have been boosted within nine months of their final dose of one of the four accepted COVID-19 vaccines.

Those who received their booster more than nine months after their second dose can begin entering France one week after their booster.

3. How does the timing of the booster affect the vaccine pass?
The “pass vaccinal” is still necessary to enter any public space requiring proof of vaccination and is available to people age 18 and older who have received their booster between three and four months of their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. (Vaccinated people ages 12-17 can obtain a pass without a booster and unvaccinated people ages 12-15 may procure a temporary, 24-hour health pass by submitting a negative PCR test).

You do not need to be boosted within three to four months of travel but must show proof of a booster if four months have elapsed since the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or two months after a single-dose vaccine.

4. Do vaccine passes expire?
For Johnson & Johnson recipients, vaccine passes expire after two months. Otherwise, the pass expires four months after a two-dose vaccine, meaning the only way to maintain an active vaccine pass is by submitting updated proof of a booster shot.

5. Are at-home COVID-19 tests acceptable to get into France?
If you are unvaccinated and approved to travel to France, note that self-tests are not permitted for entry into France.

Currently, the following test types are acceptable for entry into France:

RT-PCR.
PCR.
qRT-PCR.
RT-LAMP.
LAMP.
RNA detection.
Antigen detecting protein N.

Stay safe, stay healthy.

An alarmingy high death rate in Denmark, which of all the Nordic countries has been the most categorical about no more pandemic measures.

Good news is that case numbers are down everywhere. So please God death rates should follow.

Denmark still showing ridiculous infection rates; I think this is partially an artifact of much higher testing rate.

As always, Covid continues to be difficult to understand and fails to follow our predictions of the future

While the death rate is a lagging indicator and follows the infection rate, the infection rate is quite dependant on testing rates yet testing rates do not affect death rates - at least not in first world countries AFAIK.

If only the fat lady would sing and get this operatic virus show over with.

Re: Northern Europe during Pandemic -- Summers 2020 & 2021 & onwards

No testing, no quarantining, no registration! As of February 12, 2022, all COVID-19 entry requirements have been lifted for all travellers to Norway.

https://www.visitnorway.com/plan-you...ing-to-norway/

. . .

Other restrictions have also been lifted. You do not need to wear a face mask anywhere in the country, and social distancing rules have also been lifted. Social and cultural life is now back to normal: all bars, restaurants, and museums are open, and you can attend all kinds of events, such as concerts and conferences.

Who can travel to Norway?
Everyone who has a valid visitor’s visa, or who is entitled to visit Norway without a visitor’s visa, or who holds a valid residence permit in Norway.

What happens if you get COVID?
If you are infected with COVID-19, it is recommended that you isolate yourself for 4 days. Although there is no longer a testing requirement, it is recommended that adults with symptoms test themselves.

Special entry rules for Svalbard
All travellers, including Norwegians, who do not possess a valid COVID certificate, must provide a negative test before travelling to Svalbard. All travellers must take a test within 24 hours after arrival.
