I can believe that a small percentage of the old and frail were likely to die soon, or might have died shortly from flu or pneumonia if not COVID.

BUT - if someone catches COVID-19, and they die, and they wouldn't have died then if they hadn't caught COVID... that's a COVID-19 death, regardless of comorbities, and possibly could have been prevented if the pandemic response was better... and there was enough compliance.

Many old people carry on for months or years with serious illness, living a rewarding life, your callous dismissal notwithstanding.

I’m repeating basic logic.

Someone who crashes a motorcycle and has their head caved in being marked as a covid, that’s not honest reporting, had they not crashed they would have gotten over it like they got over so many other cold symptom like viruses.

The mask blocks the virus transmission or it doesn’t, uhh, I don’t even know how to break that down into more simple terms lol

Your case is proven if you can show that a significant number of COVID-labelled deaths are like that. Otherwise, just another soundbite from the covid-denial posse. Dogma ain't logic.

Mask effect isn't a binary (no mask 0% prevention, mask 100% prevention). Your task today - look into the word "reduction". And what is meant by "improvement", "better", "effective". And what happens when people sneeze, cough, talk, breathe.

Can you validate that such a case exists?

Ok, that's ONE. (Which they removed, so it no longer is counted). So, as of today, about 295,999 US COVID-19 deaths left to review.

US COVID-19 deaths are running at about one 9/11 every day. Assuming that 'freedom!' will continue to rank higher than fighting the pandemic, you can expect at least that many US COVID-19 deaths every day, til vaccine uptake is sufficient. If vaccine take-up is sufficient, I should say. Merry Christmas.

I’m sorry but I can’t stop imagining you at your computer eating hot pockets in your mom’s basement after the above statement.

THAT is all you choose to comment on? The stark facts aren't as troll-worthy, I guess.

And it was leftover pizza, not a hotpocket.

How do you explain 300,000 excess death though? That is a lot of excess motorcycle accidents.

The curve also follows the covid spread.

You guys seem to ignore this every time someone mentions it.

Some would have us believe its just the flu and nothing to be concerned about.

It doesn’t matter, you’ll the ignore the links.

You can google about anything and find them filed as covid deaths

Google
Heart attack rules covid death

Shooting rules covid death

Car crash ruled covid death.

Etc

How about the only 10k people died FROM covid without 2.5 other major co morbidities

It’s obviously not the common flu, it’s a virus that came out of china, it is very contagious but about as deadly as the flu, and in case someone even feels sick after getting it, it’s flu like symptoms. So in many ways it’s very flu like.

The deadly part of this virus is the strain of political fueled hysteria that got into it.

So the other 290k excess death which seems to be chasing the covid outbreak is just coincidence?

I think a separate conversation can be had about whether 290k is acceptable but I don't see how you can just ignore the excess death numbers.
