Canary Islands - some advice?

I stayed in canaries for one year , I had to post pone my crossing because of :
Gear failures / lack of real expertise / and issues with my sailmaker .
In general staying in canaries was nice and there are a lot of places to visit.enjoy and maybe find friendly locals , I am gonna tell you the things I didn't like since the list is smaller .

Rolling anchorages (some times you can solve this issue with a seccond anchor )

Lack of water and super market near anchorages (you have to go to marina , there cheap ones but still )

The service on the restaurants (expensive and cheap ) is the worst I experienced in my life , and not in a way of service they do their job but the waiters are not authenticate and the kindness they show looks forced (maybe I compare to the med )

They see you as money and they overprice gear .

The rest are fine , and you gonna enjoy the place .

About Canary. Need to understand if you from UK, US and others English speaking countries that need to stay only in some cities and parts of cities. It will be better for you, because now very large difference between state systems of EU and English speaking countries.
