Cheap , One Day Italian Charter ?

Hello,

I'll be taking a low budget holiday in Italy this April and am wondering if there are any suggestions for a one day charter. My sailing experience is only a handful of times on small lakes in Minnesota but for years I have been dying to learn more about coastal cruising. I feel oddly addicted even though I have only sailed roughly 5 times on a 20 ft Buccaneer.
Being a student, I'm afraid all I can afford is a day sail. The 7 day charters I've found but with charter and skipper fees, longer charters are far out of my price range.
I'm hoping to find a charter company (or generous CF member ) that could offer a day sail for two for around 200 euro. I'm incredibly excited learn as much as I can and would love to sail for multiple days if I could afford it.

Any suggestions for a thrifty charter would be much appreciated!

It might be worth visiting the local marinas when you are there, and putting up a notice on their boards... You might strike it lucky and befriend a local sailor. Good luck with your quest

Hi Jack - I'm really interested in hearing how your excursion in Italy turned out. My boyfriend and I heading there in May/June and looking to rent a boat for the day in either Aeolian Islands or along the Amalfi coast. Were you successful? Any words of advice? Please let me know!
