Curious about sailing from Geneva to Evian?

On Day 7, I'm as far away as I can be from Montreux, and it's time to make my way back "up" the Lac Léman. Almost like a miniature ocean, I'm half way around our little world.

This episode is longer than the others, so it makes up for the shorter ones, as I promised. The main reason is that I was sailing upwind so it was a zig zag course most of the trip. I made under sail to the town of Yvoire, famous French Savoie medieval town to look for food. It was crowded with tourist, so I bough some local cheese and sausage and carried on up the French coast.

I wanted to stop my Tour du Lac Léman at Thonon-les-Bains, but the harbor was full, so I continued to Evian. All of it was with the help of my trusty motor. It was beautiful and hot, and ended a 14 hour journey around 21:00 hours just before nightfall in other famous French landmark, Evian-les-Bains, famous for it water.
