Re: Egyptian navy vessel attacked by terrorist

Not about Egypt, but floating commercial armories off Somalia.

Never knew...

The MNG Resolution may not immediately catch the eye but it is one of many floating arsenals, moored in the Gulf of Oman. The shipping container it is carrying is full of weapons, to be used by private security firms protecting ships from pirates. But as BBC Africa editor Mary Harper reports, these maritime armouries could be a security risk.

October 16, 1991, I was stationed at Ft Hood Tx. Wife was attending nursing school at Central Texas College. Her and some friends were supposed to go to a local cafeteria, Luby's for lunch, but their test ran late so they didn't.
That test may well have saved her life, we lost a few friends that day.

I don't quite understand the criticism of MarkJ"s statement.

Terrorism is on the rise worldwide.

Whether organized or lone wolf..... attacks are happening in Canada, Australia and every first world country.......now becoming weekly events.

However, cruisers should be made aware that in places like GOA, Red Sea and North Africa ..... well trained quick response teams and security protocols to fight those attacks are very limited.

Sorry,....in my book, that does make those areas less safe.
