Thanks boatman.. but by the same account that would mean that if I (european resident) buy a VAT not paid boat say in Curaçao, if I sail it to Martinique or Guadeloupe, I would be welcome with a tax receipt ? I asked this on a different thread but didn’t get any responses so far. My doubt is cause the French islands are in the EU but outside the EU VAT zone.. so wondering what that means exactly and if it makes a difference.

Has anyone had direct experience as an European arriving to the French islands on a VAT not paid boat ?
