Re: Le Havre (or Dunkerque), France to Mediterranean, Help Needed

Hi Kimmo
Good luck and enjoy your trip. Glad to hear you got things sorted. It was nice to meet up with you. Looks like i'll be in spain this winter myself, have a boat to do some work on. so maybe we'll meetup again in the winter.

Re: Le Havre (or Dunkerque), France to Mediterranean, Help Needed

Hi Kimmo,
I am sure you'll enjoy the journey. Certainly what we've seen so far is pretty relaxing and it sure beats battling headwinds.
We're currently around the junction of the Seine / Marne circling around this summer, and here water levels appear to be around the norm despite others also saying they read somewhere they are low.
I think you made a good decision to carry your mast - we met a Brit couple back in Le Havre who's freight company lost theirs somewhere on route!
Just remember there are plenty of free halts to stop at with power and water, although you'll find the cost of marinas (ports) very low compared with coastline facilities. There are quite a few photos of places we've visited on our journey on our blog.
Cheers
JOHN
