marina near Rome

Hi,
looking for specifics on a marina near rome. any that have a
fair/decent facility, good international community wintering over,
and access to Rome. alll opinions are welcome.
Just another cruiser looking in all the wron places..

you may check marina di ostia. I have visited this marina with different vessels. good facilities and 'easy' connection. only 10 minutes away from airport.

Hi rickf and ssduca, re Rome, the Fiumicino Canal beyond the pedestrian bridge and beyond the Bascule bridge has several boatyards.The scend does not get beyond the bridge.across the road from the fish shop is the Town Hall where the bus "sustitutivo" departs frequently (more in summer) for Leonardo da Vinci Airport about 5 minutes away by this method.Bus is a large white coach, despite which you are expected to bring your luggagge up inside to the seating area.They used to have a railway, it was diverted to the Airport so the locals demanded a bus in perpituity.Fiumicino is much more sheltered than Ostia, much less expensive and the eating out is affordable, may be upmarket if you wish. A yachtie named (nick) Lemain blogs on Yachting & Boating World home | boat news, boats for sale, sailing forums, marine companies and I recommend posting on his thread there for more good info.
