Seems criminals are sailing big ships from Turkey then putting them on AP and abandoning the helm.

Same type of thing was happening between Australia and Indonesia with Iraqi and Syrian refugees until recently with loss of hundreds of lives at sea but this is a whole other level.

Australia stopped accepting these boats and turned them back/ towed them back where safe to do so. Together with offshore refugee processing this has stopped this murderous trade dead.

Sad as it is Europe will have to do the same to stop the attraction of the trade to desperate people.

Though I very much doubt theg" Icelandic " coast guard were involved as reported , more likely the Hellenic coast guard.
