One week Sardinia Madalena

Hello sailors !

We plan to spent one week 8-15 July, starting in Canigionne cruising the NE side of Sardinia, Madalena as far as Bonifaccio.

I looked on the forum but still have a few questions:

- We need to fill with water 2 or 3 times, so which marinas do you recommend that are also a nice port ? One will probably be Bonifaccio.

- Any ideas of marina prices for a 14m sailing yacht ? Do you have to call in advance or just show up ?

- People warn crossing the straight to Bonifaccio beeing very windy. Is there a recommended way to do it ?

Thank you in advance !

Re: One week Sardinia Madalena

Just watch the weather, it's not always windy. Most of the time in July, the problem is lack of wind except for afternoons when you can almost count on 15 knots.

I used Portisco quite a bit, there's a charter pontoon just outside the marina which is very reasonable. There are plenty of free anchorages along the Sardinia coast, no need to go into a marina each night.

Bonifacio is beautiful.
