Online Nav charts for the Med?

I would like to find navigation charts for the Dalmatian coast. One can get free charts of U.S. waters from the NOAA website, and I was wondering if there are similar sources for such charts in Croatian waters or other parts of the Med.

Whether free or not.

Anyone have some useful links?

Thanks,

BS'er

o-charts - Vector Charts for OpenCPN have up to date vector chart coverage for Spain, France & Croatia. They are not free, but the price is very reasonable.
They only work with OpenCPN.

Dumb Question Alert!!!

I cannot find a legend anywhere that tells me what a symbol on that Navionics chart viewer has: It is a green circle with a white cross on it, and seems to be associated with marinas, restaurants, etc. I could not find it on Chart No. 1 and am wondering if it is more of a recommendation, like, "this is a good restaurant".

I am mentally preparing myself to be embarrassed by the answer.

If you are looking at the chart on your phone, move the chart so that the green circle white cross icon is in the middle of the cross hairs. You'll then get the title of of the community edit. Then either press on the title's text box or the question mark. You'll then get the information page of which one will be the Community edit. Click on the name of the edit to find more.
Have a go! It can be quite informative.

Re: Online Nav charts for the Med?

Anyone know a good source for detailed information on anchorages in Croatia? I have the link to the gov't site, which is very helpful, as is the Navionics site, but I have been trying to find out the cost for mooring balls, anchoring, or even marinas. If anyone knows of a good book or other source, that would be great.

(I am specifically looking for such info in the Split area, down to Mijet or so.)

For Croatia you may consider the following pilot book:

It is available also at other sources.

Especially the corresponding mapsite on www.wosamma.at - Bojenfelder in Kroatien - Anchorages in Croatia - Nauticka sidrista u Hrvatskoj - Campi boe in Croazia is useful.
Be aware that this isn't a list of good anchorages, but of paid anchorages.
For the places between Šibenik and Zadar I visited last summer, I didn't find any mismatches between actually found paid mooring fields/achorages and those shown in the map. In two weeks my experience of the area wasn't in any way exhaustive, but I will use the site agan when I go back there.
