Two 'funny jokes' in Greece

Last week, in Syvota (Lefkada, Ionian) we have spent some nights on a pontoon with electricity and water connections.
One morning, checking boat systems, I have seen that shore power is off.
Went out to check - shore cable disconnected and plug swimming in the sea. Very funny.
Yesterday, took a dinghy to the shore in Vlikho, also on Lefkada island.
Left the dinghy and toured the island. Upon arrival, found the painter disconnected and the dinghy floating free. Luckily the wind was onshore so dinghy remained where we have left it.
Again, highly amusing...

Wow - I would not think either of these were very funny! So happy you can smile and there was no damage in either situation.

Strange, and most unusual. I've sailed Greece for many years without coming across casual vandalism - it's one of the safest places anywhere.

I hate to ask, but could there be anything you are doing wrong?

If there is, I am not aware of it

I haven't sailed 25 years in Greece but I go there quite frequently. I also sailed in more than 25 different countries. In each and every country you may fall in some "strange and unusual" people, I wouldn't generalize this, it's not typical for Greece.

Cheers

I did not imply that this behaviour is typical to Greece. It is atypical to any sailing area I know.
All I wanted is to share what happened.
I have sailed all over Europe, Turkey, Thailand, Caribbeans, parts of the Pacific etc. Never had similar experience.
