6'3" draft - Ontario to the Bahamas

Hello all, I have read several accounts of why people should not risk the outside route ( Halifax - Bermuda ) and also several accounts as to why the draft mentioned above (6'3") is too deep for the ICW.
The boat is a CS36T I would like to not be cold next winter. My sailing experience is chartering in the Keys and the Great Lakes. I have been sailing and messing about on boats for 14 years, not new to this but I am new to taking a boat south.

6'3" is not " too deep" for the ICW, but you will certainly have to watch the tide in areas.
Most of the US east coast can be done in offshore hops.
You can get the "Waterway Guide" which will list problem areas.
Summertime is mostly mild weather and sea conditions.
I have done the US east coast both on the ICW and offshore, with a 6'3" draft.
I did run aground in a few areas in the ICW.
Much prefer the offshore route.
In the US you can buy a subscription to BoatUS or Seatow for about $150 a year, and they will come assist you if you run aground.

The B'mas is quite shallow though....but quite doable with a 6'3" draft. Sailing to Bermuda first is an odd way to get to the B'mas though.

Not overly concerned wth the Bahamas as a destination, just getting to or past there, sorry should have been more specific. With regards to Bermuda, leaving from Halifax vs the Erie Canal

Bermuda is a nice stop. Getting there is sometimes tricky. From Bermuda to the B'mas is usually nice, but occasionally stormy.
I've done the Bermuda trip several times. I have always checked in on the Northeast side at St. George's.
Bermuda can put a dent in your wallet, keep a tight grip
