Advice for One Month in the Caribbean

I'm planning on a one month trip out of South Florida on a Trailer Tri at the end of April. My first choice is Cuba, but due to the politics I'm looking for advice on "the next best" option.

So, what would YOU do if you had a month, at that time of year, on a fast boat?

I'd go straight to Staniel Cay.

Pick a spot in the Bahamas. Eleuthra for nice regular towns. The entire Exumas for clearest water. Staniel is nice, (but not anchoring for a gale between the Majors, in a crowd.) Georgetown, for adult "camp", The Jamentos for remote diving sites, ETC. Get a guide book and decide what you like.

Cuba, besides the US politics, comes with a number of down sides as a hassle free cruising destination. At least for now. I hope that will change. M.
