Their #2 is anchored IN a cable area. That's simply not prudent. And #1 is anchored just outside a cable area, a better choice but threading into and out of those rocks, if your anchor came loose in the night...Great way to make sure passing traffic can't run you down in the night but a dicey place to be if you come loose.

Yes,that's the position that Embassy Guides takes as well. I think the Thimbles are popular as they are unique in this area and very beautiful, and the number of good anchorages in the area is fairly limited. As attractive as they are, I'm just not seeing how staying there overnight can be prudent.
