Anybody out there done the Jimmy Cornell Atlantic Odyssey?

Hi Atlantic cruisers,

Three of us are planning to cross the Atlantic next November (2018) in an Oyster 55 and were thinking of signing up to the ARC. However, before we signed on the electronic dotted line, we noticed that Jimmy Cornell's Atlantic Odyssey seems to be identical, with two notable exceptions: it is limited to a smaller number of boats and seems quite a bit cheaper.
Has anyone done one of his crossings? Can you let us know what to expect and what your experience was?

Big thank you,

Rachel
