bareboat tool kit

Planning a bareboat charter out of Nassau to Exumas. A previous experience in BVI (seized furler that needed a lot of WD40 to rotate) has me making a list of essential items to take with me - within the limitations of airline baggage and assuming nothing or very little on board. It will be an older Mahe 36. What would you bring? tools? supplies?
thanks

Zip ties and duct tape. That shouldn't arouse any questions at TSA checkpoints.

Re: bareboat tool kit

I have a small black bag (Felix) that I take on charters.

All of the above, plus:
dental mirror
2mm cord ~100 feet
Paracord
Wood tongue depressors
Dental picks
Hemostats (straight and curved)
self stick velcro
Roll of fabric velcro
Multi tip screwdriver (something like this: https://www.kleintools.com/catalog/m...ver-nut-driver ) though mine is smaller and a promotional item.
Superglue
Assortment of Soft Shackles (very important)
Whipping thread

(I have used every one of them on one charter or another)

Tip: for tape, wrap duct tape around a flat piece of cardboard, wrap electrical tape around a wire connector.

I always carry on only and frequently get checked (I am TSA precheck) and have never had a real issue.

Tips:
I took a leatherman skeletool and replaced the knife with scissors from another tool. I clip it on the outside of the bag. That alone has dropped the "stop and check" rate by 75%.

I put Felix on top of my carryon. When stopped it speeds things up by a significant margin.

Always, when stopped, I tell them I have a tool kit for a charter - I let them know I am not surprised by the stop but have made the effort to comply with the rules. Identify what I have and where they can find it in my bag. In one recent trip the TSA agent saw my screwdriver and explained, as she pulled it apart and put it back in Felix, that it was OK as long as it was less than 6" total, and that I should separate it next time.

Felix has saved many a charter.
