Best O/N BVI Anchorage

I was going to say hello but your dinghy was not at the boat.

I slipped round to Ile Pinel and it was fine there so fine i sayed for must have been a week...........went over to Tintamare for a day and night and looked into Oyster Pond but could not find a spot to anchor and when i asked about grabbing a mooring for an hour or so ..........well lets say it was an unfriendly and unhelpful response,

I gather that Oyster Pond is quite small with little room for visiting boats
Thanks for the picture, but looking at the wave between us makes me remember that uncomfortable day and subsequent night. I had to return my rental car and couldn't get ashore until noon (using a long line and extra weighted stern anchor for the dinghy so it wouldn't get bashed against the dock)

(bit of a thread drift, but take it as an example of a not-good-not-BVI-anchorage)

The best guide found is the drinking mans guide to the BVIs. It might be somewhat dated but it helped us decide on anchorages. There were 10 of us on a cat so drinking was important
